We just moved to McKinney and decided to try local pizza and settled on this place. The order wasn't anything fancy, just pepperoni hand tossed pizza and an order of 8 BBQ wings for carryout. The wings looked fantastic so we started there and were extremely disappointed. The wings were mushy and tasteless and we both agreed that they were clearly frozen right before being cooked. The pizza was better than the wings but was lacking something. What it is that's lacking I can't quite put my finger on, but the pizza definitely wasn't great. Maybe it was an off night. I'll give it another try but, if it's this bad again, I'll change my review from 2 stars to 1 star. Great service and friendly staff though so that's how they salvaged a 2nd star tonight.

My family and I went to Jim’s yesterday evening and will never return. We should have known from the roach in the drink to leave immediately but we were hungry so we tried the pizza and it was quite literally the worst we have ever had. The employee didn’t even apologize or acknowledge our complaint when we told him there was a roach in the drink. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Also pricing on the website is incorrect and you will end up paying more than anticipated when you check out.

Jim’s Pizza is one of our family’s go-to spots! The food is delicious, the portions are generous, and did I mention they have a lunch and dinner buffet? They also offer gluten-free options for family members who need them.

The pizza was hot, and the toppings were good. The crust seemed to be a ready made type of crust, and the cheese just didn’t taste great. I think if you’re wanting an affordable buffet option and value quantity over quality, it’s fine. If you want a really great, made-from-scratch pizza, you may be a little disappointed. Just like cleaning the tables between guests, you should be cleaning the high chairs as well. Watched an employee put a used high chair back without cleaning it. Otherwise I’d consider it a family friendly place to bring kids.

I came in around 6:50 PM for my first time at Jim’s after it had been recommended to me by several people. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve had. When we walked in it was semi-busy. We stood at the front for a bit before realizing there was a sign saying to seat ourselves. No one acknowledged us. Once seated, we went to the buffet and immediately noticed the food looked like it had been sitting out for a long time. The salad looked old, the pizza looked extremely dry, and the overall buffet did not look fresh at all. We decided to try it anyway and it was even worse than it looked. The pizza was hard and dried out, and the pasta was completely bland and honestly disgusting with no flavor at all. An older gentleman behind the counter was just glaring at customers while they were getting food from the buffet, which made the environment feel very uncomfortable. The bathroom was another issue. It smelled horrible and had trash everywhere, which says a lot about how the restaurant is being maintained. A younger girl brought our drinks, which was the only decent part of the visit, but after that we never saw her again and never got a single refill.
